Dr. Seon Ryang Kim is an experienced professional in the field of acupuncture and Korean Medicine. She received her B.S. (6 years), M.S. (2 years), and Ph.D (3 years) degrees in Korean Medicine at Kyunghee University, a top research university in Seoul, South Korea, dedicating a total of 11 years in her studies in the field. Throughout her practice and research, her passion has always been about helping her patients optimize their lifestyle patterns including diet and fitness plans to help those struggling with obesity, infertility, and other women’s health issues.
She earned her Korean Medical Doctor license in 1998, and started practicing in Seoul, South Korea. She founded a weight loss center at Kyunghee Acupia Wellness Clinic in 2002. Through her many years of practice, she has gained expertise in the areas of weight loss, pregnancy, hormonal imbalance, and children’s health.
In 2008, she moved to Beverly Hills, California with her family and became a licensed acupuncturist in California in 2009. Since then, Dr. Kim has been very involved in diverse fields relating to her practice. She became a licensed esthetician in 2012. In 2014, she got a QME (Qualified Medical Evaluator) license. Qualified medical evaluators are qualified physicians who are certified by the Division of Workers’ Compensation – Medical Unit to examine injured workers to evaluate disability and write medical-legal reports. She has extensive knowledge in Western and Oriental Reproductive Medicine and their relation to the treatment of reproductive disorders.
With her vast knowledge in many fields and caring heart, she is dedicated to helping her patients meet their individual needs with non-invasive methods using acupuncture and reset detox programs. Aside from her regular practice, she has served in mission trips by providing medical service to those in impoverished areas in Asia, North America, and South America.
